A Beginning Rooted in Architecture and Vision

Born in Italy's Como region Marconato in 1961 and Zappa in 1963-both designers graduated cum laude from the prestigious Politecnico di Milano in 1986.

After gaining early experience independently, they founded Studio Marconato & Zappa Architetti Associati in 1991 in Cantù, the heart of Italy's fine woodworking and furniture heritage.

Their collaboration, however, traces back even further to 1981, where the foundations of their design language were laid.

Since then, their work has spanned furniture, architecture, interior design, exhibitions, and complete brand development forming a design identity recognized worldwide.
